I am a poet, and read my poems in a strange, nasally sing-song voice.
\nPeople say, \u201cWhy does he read so strangely?\u201d<\/p>\n

But then they will say;
\n\u201cOh, he is a poet, and he is better<\/em> than us.\u201d
\nThey are right. I am superior<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Fools think they can understand my poems.
\nLarks can; they sing along with me while others<\/em> mock.<\/p>\n

But superior people can grasp my meanings
\nIf they dress in black
\nAnd attend private colleges
\nThat will saddle them with
\nStudent loans<\/em>.
\nThe banker’s pain will be worth it.<\/p>\n

My palate spews<\/em> verse like the tongues of water,
\nSplit by a boulder in the waterfall of my<\/em> mind.<\/p>\n
