Yep, I’ve been absent here after quite a while of consistent posts. \u00a0There are explanations.<\/p>\n

1)<\/strong> \u00a0I am writing more for filthy lucre<\/em>. \u00a0As of February 1 I am the paddlesports columnist for Silent Sports Magazine<\/a>. I have also become a regular contributor for a wonderful website called The Art of Manliness<\/a>. \u00a0No, it’s not about being a Maxim-ogling\u00a0troglodyte. \u00a0Actually, it’s exactly the opposite.<\/p>\n

2)<\/strong> \u00a0I am writing a book.\u00a0<\/em>I have a contract and everything. \u00a07 chapters in, 25 to go. \u00a0It is, well, demanding.<\/p>\n

Bear in mind that I own a business, hold a fairly time-consuming church calling and I still like to paddle and hang out with my wife, remaining son at home and friends. \u00a0Which means the first thing that got cut was recreational writing.<\/p>\n

So this isn’t goodbye…just a little hiatus…<\/p>\n
